Stoner Food Reviews (Rebaked!), Day 1

Hello bitches who actually read this!  (Aka no one)  I am back at it again!

Last time: http://hermitthefrogblog.blogspot.ca/2014/02/reviewing-foods-while-stoned.html

I am doing stoner food reviews for… reasons I guess.  I don't even know why really, I guess I just feel like stuffing my face for some somewhat, slightly more legitimate reason than hunger.  I may do a week, a few weeks or a month like my last attempt at this.  I'll play it by ear.  So, without further ado, I will now 420 blaze it faggot.

…

(Listen to this while you're "waiting") https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTpWq7rlpIY

(Or this) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMK4cfXj5c0

…

Hey it's high me.  I don't know if it's just that warm and fuzzy feeling I'm getting but I trust you guys.  I love you guys, whether you're scrolling through here to find some specific thing that I can't offer you, laughing at the horrible quality, here completely by accident and shortly leaving or someone who really really wants to see every search result about a "hedonistic hermit" because perhaps it's a lifestyle that they want to learn more about.  All the same, you guys are so wonderful and truly the light of my life.  So I'm going to tell you my name.  I am Valerie Heston.  This is my photo:

Ha!  How did you fall for that?  That was a stock photo that I got my picking the fifth result after I googled "woman stock photo."  You need to work on your critical thinking.  Not my name either… or is it?

Anyway, for my first food item, I will be reviewing (yes, I'm high, but I'm not a moron, I can still think and write properly)…

RASPBERRIES!!!

My all time favourite fruit and one of my favourite foods.  I am starving so I will dig in.  I place the bowl in front of me and it makes the most wonderful knock on the wood.  My body almost sighs with relief.  A bit bitter right now but they are still refreshing and tasty and they have such a lovely texture.  Yeah, for some reason they taste very bitter, okay not very bitter but bitter.  Maybe it has something to do with smoking?  Guess I'll just keep eating.  I think they are getting less bitter.  Still good, all the same.

POUTINE WRAP

Next up, continuing and ending the Canadian theme is poutine, in a wrap.  Yes.  Poutine can be improved upon.  Do you ever think every famous director has a secret cult and they put all kinds of vague symbolism in their movies that teach subtle lessons relating to their cult and these movies are watched over and over again within this cult and movie scenes are quoted like bible passages?  No?  Just me?  This poutine wrap is made with a store-brand tortilla, Cavendish frozen fries, Double Gloucester cheese, cheddar cheese (no cheese curds because fuck you, that's why) and some canned St. Hubert brown gravy.  It's going to be aces and unfortunately you can only eat it vicariously through me. :D

Oh making it was lots of fun but taking the picture, agony, with the anticipation of waiting to eat it.  Massive munchies right now.  I'll try a fry first.  Fucking good.  Mmmm, potato and just enough salt and crispiness.  One more.  Yeah I got good fries and gravy.  Fries are a bit burnt, but worth it just to eat the good ones.  Wrap time.  Hmmm a bit weird with the Double Gloucester but nice otherwise.  Somehow the gravy is more bitter with the cheese.  Maybe I added too much gravy, it's an exact science getting the proportion right.  Really wonderful texture.  Not too messy either, a bonus.  The wrap really compliments the poutine.  It's white flour so obviously it's an amazing-tasting burrito.  White power, right?  I take back the thing about it not being messy.  And you don't want it messy - it'll look like you were doing scat/bukkake fusion porn.  Maybe I'm making a mess because I'm high.  Yeah, not even too bitter, just too salty.

What if someone proposed to me by putting a ring inside the cap of a beer bottle?  Fuck yeah.  That's the most romantic thing in the world.  That or proposing with a box of weed that looks like a jewelry box.  Any guy that does that is a keeper.

I'm getting so tired.  It's almost 4:30 am.  Shouldn't have stayed up this late.  Alas.

BEER

The last item is a Scottish beer made with an ancient recipe apparently.  It's called Grozet and it's a Gooseberry Ale by Williams Brothers Brewing Co.

Very unique.  Bitter berry flavour so far.  Kind of reminds me of blackberries because they are bitter berries.  Some little hints of sweetness to it.  It's definitely drinkable.  I don't think I've ever tried gooseberries and they don't sound very appetizing, but this beer is not only quite tasty and well-balanced but it also tastes like berries, possibly gooseberries so already it is way better than actual gooseberries by a long shot.  After this I'm going to be absolutely ready for bed.  Can't even really describe the flavour.  Maybe a little earthy?  There's a bit of spiciness to it.  It does help to do that thing that you do with wine, where you swish the sip around your mouth.  It's like your tongue put on a pair of glasses.  I thought maybe I tasted a note of vanilla and banana.  Picking up a lot of things!  Or maybe that's just the gooseberry flavour.  It's good though, I enjoy it.

Next time we eat porn.

Food Stamps Challenge, Canadian Edition: Day

I'm finally finished! (And I beat Gwyneth!)

Weight: 145 (down 3 pounds)

Meals:
Breakfast: Piece of frozen pizza, 2 pieces of toast (with butter and peanut butter) and a banana
Lunch: 3 little cracker samples (free), granola bar
Snack: Cookie
Dinner: Vegetable soup, toast with peanut butter

I had quite the day.  I was asked to stay and work 3.5 hours of overtime at work when I was originally going to work a 5 hour shift; 8.5 hours altogether.  However, I only packed a granola bar and a cookie in my lunch which would then have to last me 8.5 hours.  I really wanted more hours, so I took it, but I was unsure of how well I would do on that amount of food, deciding that I would have one snack on my first break and the other snack on my next break.  I ended up sort of cheating and going to the free sample stand which amounted to 3 little crackers but I'll take what I can get.  I don't know if it's cheating since it's free and it wasn't very much food.

Later, the store got extremely busy, the supervisor got sick and couldn't continue her shift and it was a stressful shift with the store sorely understaffed.  With all the chaos and the need to focus on being as efficient as possible, I must have had an adrenaline rush because I did not feel hungry at all throughout my shift but I ate because I felt that I needed to.  All in all, it was a weird day and I relaxed with dinner and reading in the bath.

And now for the moment of truth.  What is left over?  Well, obviously you already know because you probably skimmed the text to look at the picture.

My leftovers:

For $35 in one week, I'd say that I did pretty well.  But now, let's think: could this feed another person?  My brothers or my dad, all around 6 feet tall and 2 of them overweight?  My guess is that this food would provide 11 very modest meals and a lot of milk and cookie snacks.  That would last a person 4 days at the most.  So, no, I do not think SNAP is feasible for more than one person and even then it is definitely a tight budget.  Maybe I didn't budget correctly and maybe with some adjustments I could have fed two, but I find it unlikely that it would feed 3 or more people.  I won't rule it out; there are very cheap cuts of meat and packages of produce out there, but, to me, it doesn't seem possible.  I believe that it's possible that I could still survive on this budget for one person if I were also buying toiletries and toilet paper but it wouldn't be easy.

What did I learn from this?
- Living on a food budget requires very careful planning; no impulse buying or giving in to cravings.
- I have a better understanding of food budgeting.
- If I want to do overtime at work while under a tight budget like this, I need to pack extra food just in case.
- From an overweight person's perspective, I am eating too much.  You don't need that much food to feel full.
- PC Spinach pizza is awful and I will not buy it again.
- It is possible for one person to live on $35/week, $140 a month of food but it requires discipline and planning.  It is extremely difficult for 2 or more people to live on $35/week, $140/month.
- Coffee is addictive and the withdrawal is not fun but it's over in a couple days.
- And, most importantly, SNAP (Food Stamps) desperately needs more funding...

Now that the challenge is over, since it's past midnight and I've had all my meals, I feel like I'm stepping into a fantasy world with so many flavours that includes coffee, beer, wine, Parmesan, sour cream... (and I wonder why I'm still fat)

But I'm being melodramatic.  Thousands, maybe millions of Americans (and Canadians and other nationalities that do not have the SNAP program) do this for a good portion of their lives.  I will be donating to a local food bank in my community now that the challenge is done.  Since I'm on the internet, I'm not sure whether I should say that I donated or not since I am tooting my own horn if I tell people, but I'm just doing this for attention if I did the challenge without people knowing that I donated.  Maybe I'll leave it at this: Don't worry.  I'm terrible.  I realize that donating to a food bank or a charitable organization benefiting the homeless or the poor does not make me any more special or moral than anyone else.

And with that, I will say thank you for reading (if anyone bothered to)!

Food Stamps Challenge, Canadian Edition: Day 2

Hello again.

Today's stats:

Weight: Still 148

Meals:
Breakfast: medium bowl of Mini Wheats and banana

Work snack: granola bar and cookie

Lunch: 2 scrambled eggs, 1/2 can of tomato soup and piece of toast with butter

Dinner: 2 pieces of toast with butter and peanut butter, Mr. Noodles, apple

Admittedly I went overboard with the last meal and I still feel very full from it.  I felt tired today but still easily satisfied by my meals.  I did experience a few cravings for things, since I work at a grocery store and there are all kinds of tantalizing foods in the house that I can't eat.  The grass is always greener on the other side.  So far, I'm really not suffering too much or at all.  However, it is going to be much easier for one person to do this challenge as opposed to 2, 3, 4 or more people; a couple or a family.

I was also informed by my dad's girlfriend, who is much more knowledgeable than me since she has experienced financial instability and still does (but to a lesser degree), that just buying food with $35 doesn't give you the full picture.  When you are on food stamps, you also have to use that money for toiletries like pads, tampons, toothpaste, shampoo, Advil, toilet paper, shaving cream, etc which makes it all so much worse when you realize that.  One can always budget around that each week and save up for toiletries (eg. one toiletry item per week), but when you think about that, it just makes the budget so much tighter, even for a single person.

If I do this challenge again, I think I will include the toiletries and probably try it for a month.  But that initial purchase of just the essentials (toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, Advil, pads/tampons) would turn that first week into a 168-hour famine.

So far, so good.  See you tomorrow. :)

Food Stamps Challenge, Canadian Edition: Day 1

Today I begin the challenge...  After a long shop at No Frills, armed with shopping list, notepad, calculator and pen, this is what I got for $35.15, just 10 cents under the $35.25 ($29 American) allotted for food stamps.

Honestly, I think that's pretty good for $35.  I bought 19 items, consisting of 5 bananas, 5 apples, bag of pasta, 2 boxes of PC Mac and Cheese, cookies, eggs, Mr. Noodles, granola bars, small pack of butter, bread, milk, peanut butter, 3 soups, tomato sauce, frozen pizza and a box of Mini Wheats.

I managed to get some protein with the peanut butter, eggs and almond granola bars.  I also have some fruits and vegetables with the bananas, apples, soups and maybe the pizza (since it has spinach).  I wouldn't call this a healthy diet but I think it's quite likely that it will last me a week.  Everything was around $2, except for the $4.49 pizza and the butter, which was $3 for a little stick.  In hindsight, I regret buying it, since it doesn't have nutritional value and I'll only use it for the mac and cheese and toast.  I could have bought some instant coffee with that $3!

While we're on the subject of coffee, it is not pleasant being without coffee when you try to work a shift on 6.5 hours of sleep without any of that magical bean juice, I mean, that waste of money that doesn't provide any nutrition.  I didn't get coffee or tea (and definitely not alcohol) because I didn't want to spend money on something that wasn't food.  Anyway, I think this amount of food is enough for a week.

Throughout the challenge, I will weigh myself and record my meals everyday to show you how I budget my food and whether there is a change in weight.

Today's Weight: 148

Meals:
Breakfast: small bowl of Mini Wheats

Work snack: granola Bar, cookie

Lunch: Mac and Cheese (1/2 a package), 1/2 a can of tomato soup

Dinner: Mac and Cheese (1/2 a package), 2 scrambled eggs, apple

Other than the lack of coffee and sleep, the first day went fairly well.  It's hard to gauge how you're feeling when you're tired and that affects your mood all day.  I realized that in order to not eat more than 3 meals and maybe a snack, you have to plan your meals out, preferably with 4 hours between them.  I did fine for breakfast, snack and lunch but 3 hours after lunch I was already hungry, probably because I'm used to larger meals or eating and snacking more often.  Altogether I'm enjoying the food (obviously because I got to eat mac and cheese) and I feel full after each meal.   I'm also drinking water after each meal so that I can digest the food better and so that I feel more full when I'm done eating.

I wasn't sure whether I should forego my daily B12 vitamin or Advil for headaches, but decided against it.  I suppose I was more inclined to leave them out since Advil is $3-5 and vitamins are fairly expensive.   If anyone actually reads this thing, let me know if there is an argument for including them in the comments.

A little background on myself:
I'm a slightly overweight woman in her 20s with a vegetarian diet.  As my blogger name suggests, I am indeed a hedonistic hermit.  I love my junk food, alcohol, coffee, tea, sugary drinks sometimes.  I almost always have something sugary in the house.  For my meals, I usually gravitate toward 3 things: black bean burrito, pasta with tomato sauce and dal makhani curry with naan.  Then I'll add some fruit or a salad for nutrition.  But I eat many other foods as well.  My spread for this challenge isn't far from my current diet; I often have scrambled eggs, soup, cereal, toast, pasta, etc.  The pizza is new but I thought it would provide several meals for $4 so I went for it.

Another thing to include is that I've never encountered poverty in my life.  I've always been some form of middle-class, whether it was lower or upper middle class.  My mother was a lawyer and until she died a few years ago, my dad, brothers and I lived a comfortable, almost indulgent lifestyle.  She bought so many fancy things that we didn't need, we shopped at Whole Foods sometimes, we ate out at restaurants often and money wasn't as important as the healthiness and quality of the food when we were grocery-shopping.

It's hard to admit but when our dad tightened our belts and we swapped the Starbucks for Folgers it was difficult for me to adjust to the change (the loss was probably part of that but it was a big change for us as well).  That was the closest I've been to anything resembling poverty.  In reality, we just started living a reasonable lifestyle where we spent modestly and focused on buying what we need.  There was no starving or hardship, just some upper-middle-class kids becoming lower-middle-class kids.  I later learned that our mother left dad with a large amount of credit card debt.  It wasn't that she didn't make a lot of money but she couldn't control her spending.

Now I know why dad got a second job and felt anxious about spending too much.  Luckily he got rid of the debt and paid off the mortgage with the Life Insurance.  Now I still try to focus on the essentials, but I often get swept up by temptation when I see something appealing or something that's on sale.  To sum up, I have never been poor or homeless and my lifestyle is still fairly indulgent and sometimes expensive.

I suppose another reason that I'm doing this is that I will move out of my dad's house soon and this might be my future.  I've been saving a lot of money, but it never hurts to think about your food, what it costs and how to budget for both survival and nutrition.

Well, I got through day 1, let's see how day 2 goes.  With a good night's sleep in my future, I'm feeling hopeful.

Stoner Food Reviews, Day 3

Hello again anyone who is randomly reading this!  It's that time again; the time to get baked and get baking.  Today, I have stayed up late (until 6 pm... so sad...) making Maple Syrup Muffins.  I've made this several times before and they are my little brother's favourite.  There were more muffins on that plate but they disappeared as I set up to snap the picture:

If you want to make them yourself, they are from an old 'eighties cookbook called Muffin Mania.  Unfortunately, it might be hard to get since it's so old.  They have copies on Amazon selling for anywhere in between $60 and $1000.

http://www.amazon.ca/Muffin-Mania-Cathy-Pauli-Prange/dp/096914850X

But if you live in Toronto, you can get it for a more reasonable price at certain addresses:

http://www.thestar.com/life/2008/09/03/muffin_mania_continues_unabated.html

The above was written sober, because I had to post pictures.  Anyway, I'll be back once I'm in the proper state of mind...

Okay, I'm high, but not as high as usual today.  Sorry.  :(

It's so weird looking at a picture of something you're eating as you eat it, especially if it's the exact muffin you are eating.  Trippy.

Maple Syrup Muffin: Wow, it's really hot.  Burning my tongue (I just microwaved it).  I'll wait a bit.  Check Facebook.  Tasted like a lizard at first, but now it's really yummy and warm.  Eh, maybe lizards taste good when they're cooked right.  Who knows?  The icing is really buttery.  I'm as baked as this muffin.  This is like a less sweet version of those Popcorn Muffins I made a while ago.  Delicious.  Now to chase it with something else.

Little Glass of Milk: Not too much flavour, but it goes nicely with the aftertaste of the muffin.  Maybe I should have been taking sips of the milk as I ate the muffin!  I think I'll do that actually.  Nice combo of hot and cold, but the flavour does not change to me.  Just tasting each flavour separately.

Beer (President's Choice Light, I sure love my PC products, don't I?  I wonder if Progressive Conservatives are more likely to buy PC products...):  Too much sweetness, have to get rid of the taste.  Tart, sudsy, foamy, savoury, yeasty, beer hits the spot.  Really starting to feel ready for bed.  I feel like a heaviness is being draped over me.  Hard to describe the taste of beer.  When I was a kid it was just weird tasting stuff that was watered down a lot.  Now it's a lot more, because it's one of the drinks that I really drink for the taste, but it's hard to say what I like about it.  I guess how much liquid it is and how it fills you so much and tastes so meaty.

Time for Arrested Development and bed.

Sexism

Bored on a Monday night, I decided to look up "woman" on UrbanDictionary, just to see how people define the word.  The site is often full of opinionated definitions and I expected some sexism.  The first five pages or so were full of people reacting in anger to offensive definitions posted earlier and their definitions praised the strength, beauty and independence of women.  I decided to hunt for the sexist definitions pages ahead.  Here is what I found:

"a man's sex toy for a very short period of time until he finds a new one"

"A portable sandwich making machine, but can also double up as a personal sex machine."

"The useless skin around a vagina."
"An Object, not unlike a toaster."

"creatures which cannot seem to do anything right, ever."

I was most affected by the definition, "the useless skin around a vagina."
It is so cruel and callous, and yet I admire it's simplicity and wit.
There were several pages of insulting comments with hundreds of likes on each one.

I noticed that these insults were "revenge" for definitions in the "man"
section of UrbanDictionary, so I went to that page,
wondering if the comments there were any worse.  I doubted it.

I found these definitions:

"A person with two heads."

"A derogatory term for someone who is being unfair, stupid, idiotic, asshole-like, monstrous etc..."

"A twisted creature that hates women but still wants to fuck them."

"Baby-maker and/or sex toy.  Should be tied to a bed at all times for convenience
and to avoid havoc."

This one was a hilarious comeback from the women:
"The useless lump of flesh surrounding the penis."
"The ultimate source of all EVIL"
There were also some pro-man definitions, but not nearly as many as there were for women.

Apparently the men were so pissed off by these definitions (supposedly but not proven to be written by women) that they decided to let out their inner male chauvinist pigs and fight back. But do these stupid definitions give either men or women an excuse to insult each other?  Not really.  What both parties want is to be treated equally and to not be belittled.  More sexism will not solve this.  I think this kind of "retaliation" is ridiculously pointless.  Both women and men should reconcile and try to treat each other with respect instead of bitterly putting each other down.  Anyway that is my rant for today.

If you have some eloquent literary opinions on the issue of sexism, enter my contest on Writerscafe:

http://www.writerscafe.org/contests/Sexism/46155/

On another note, I have a "post-infectious cough" apparently, which basically equals a painful, never-ending dry cough and a nasty cold.  I was supposed to sing at a Family gathering yesterday and at a Canada Day event today, but my singing sounds like Tom Waits so I couldn't do either performance.  I've had this cold for the past week and it has been hell.  My nose is runny, red and painful, I feel lethargic all the time, it's hard to breathe, my sense of taste is weaker (but not completely gone), my ears are plugged up so it is hard to hear, my throat is full of phlegm, I'm constantly coughing, when I sneeze mucus flies everywhere and it really hurts (projectile sneeze), I'm hardly ever hungry and when I laugh I sound like I'm on helium.  I know I don't have cancer or anything, but it's a really crappy cold.  I feel utterly useless.

This is embarrassing, but since this is an unpopular anonymous blog, I don't see the danger in telling you.  My coughing is so violent that it causes me to pee my pants.  Even if I just peed!  It is really frustrating and embarrassing.  Lately I have been using my menstrual pads for this and they have actually been working pretty well.  Sorry for that disgusting confession, but I really wanted to tell someone... or something.

I'm pretty much certain I got this cough/cold from my brother.  Everyone in my family has it now, so I guess it's contagious.

I have been doing lots of things to get better, but they haven't been working since my cold either gets worse or stays the same.  I guess I just have to wait it out.  The doctor says it will take 2-3 more weeks, which is very saddening!

The doctor prescribed us a cough medicine that contains hydrocodone.  Yup, the main ingredient in Vicadin.  I looked it up and it is pretty much illegal to use in cough syrup in the U.S. (I am Canadian).  So far, the only side effects I have had are drowsiness, weird dreams and flashing when I close my eyes to go to sleep.  I also sometimes hear buzzing in my ears.

I hope I'll get better soon.  Happy Canada Day, everyone! (Sorry to those who aren't Canadian...)

And that's all for now.

I have recently found another great website to check out.  It's called funtrivia.com.  As the title suggests, it's a trivia site where people take quizzes, write quizzes, play games and compare scores.  I started using it to study for music tests and to learn about jewelery for my job at the Farmer's Market, but it's addictive.  The advantage is that even though I'm having fun, I'm still learning new things.

I've loved quizzes since I can remember, especially personality quizzes.  They're one of my many guilty pleasures.  Personality tests are almost always inaccurate, but there is something soothing about being asked innane questions and then being sorted into a meaningless category.  For some reason I really like tests and quizzes, even when they are for school.  They're like playing a game.    I also really like writing quizzes and trying to trick people and teach them new things.  If I were a teacher, which I might be someday, that would probably be one of my favourite things about teaching.  Yes, that's right.  Not the children.

Another thing about funtrivia is that although anyone can post a quiz on the site, like Wikipedia, the editors put a lot of effort into ensuring the quality of each quiz.  In order to even start writing my quiz, I had to...

1. Get an account
2. Take 50 quizzes to get a feel for how quizzes are written
3. Take five quizzes on how to write good quizzes
4. Read the quiz-making guidelines

And then once I started writing the quiz, I was only allowed to write a 10-question quiz, without true-or-false questions or fill-in-the-blank questions to be submitted to a quiz EDITOR.

The statistic on this site is that 80% of first quizzes are sent back for corrections by an editor.  Quiz-writers are told not to even try to submit their quizzes if they have spent less than 15 minutes on them.  It is a strict site, but the quality is excellent.

I'm really enjoying it.  I've taken 92 quizzes and I've published 2 quizzes.

You should try it out if you enjoy writing or taking quizzes!

Good night, everyone!

Remembrance Day and other musings

I was debating whether I would write tonight.  I think I will.  Some of this is stuff I wrote around 11:10 am, so here we go:

So it's 11:10 am.  I just saw the Remembrance Day ceremony in the concourse of my school.  At my university the Remembrance Day ceremony is optional, which is good if you want the disrespectful people not to disrupt things, but a lot of people have class and can't observe the ceremony unless class is interrupted.  The profs don't usually stop class for the MINUTE of silence, which is pretty dumb.  It looked like they closed the Starbucks down for the assembly, so people wouldn't be talking while it was happening.  Those guys probably appreciated the break.  At the end the guest veteran said "You should appreciate what you have and be thankful that you have what you have."  It's the message we hear every year, but it stuck with me today.  It seems impossible, but I could be wearing a swastika armband in a war-torn Canada, forced to report any Jews to the police, eventually dying a violent death because I have brown hair.  I don't understand a lot of what happened.  For me, Remembrance Day is remembering the soldiers and Jewish people and others that died by the millions, hoping that World War II will never happen again, wearing a poppy (which usually scares me because of the pin - I'm a wimp), going to a ceremony or assembly, hearing the last post and standing for a full minute of silence at 11 am.
Where did the last post even come from?  When did they play it before this?  Was it written especially for Remembrance Day?  Is it a war call?  A song of peace?  A death lament?
One thing I definitely like about Remembrance Day is that it's still a fairly recent "Day" and it's not about celebrating or consuming.  So none of those greedy companies can make too much money off of it.  Knowing them, they've probably conducted some way to make money off of it, just not as much as Christmas or Hallowe'en.  But what could they gain?  They can't even sell poppies.  The money goes to veterans.  And it's one of the few special days of the year that is observed by everyone in our country that is not a celebration.  It is a day of remembrance, regret, a vow to improve society...  People don't make a fuss.  They just wear poppies and hopefully take a minute out of their day to stand in silence and reflect...

Oh yes, don't get the Gingerbread Loaf at Starbucks.  Overpriced (as always) and not only did they put nuts in it and other random crap, they also put chopped up orange peels on top of the delicious cream cheese icing, ruining the entire thing.  Just horrible.  Who came up with such a terrible instrument of torture??  My palate is still recovering.  No, that's just the tea that burnt my tongue this morning.  It still sucked.  Orange peels go in the garbage, not in your mouth.  And that sounded dirty.

The hot guys never notice me.  They walk right past, because they are paying attention to someone better.  Pigs.

I love watching Ouran High School Host Club.  Tamaki is dead sexy... in a miniskirt!  Couldn't resist...  I especially love the fact that he is voiced by Vic Mignogna.  Did I spell it right?  That's why I only watch the dub.  I wish I could live in the fantasy world that is Ouran High School Host Club.  It sounds better than my life.  I could be wrong.

What would it be like to find out someone loves you, has a crush on you?  I've never experienced it for sure.  Maybe it would be lovely.

I always hear people talking about how it's unfair that Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber are so popular when there are more talented people that should be popular instead of them.  Oscar Wilde once wrote "everything popular is wrong."  He nearly has a point.  But what if Lady Gaga suddenly CHANGED.  She started writing songs kind of like Imogen Heap, so not a huge change, but more depth to the music and lyrics.  And she wore more clothing when performing and making music videos.  You know, a bra and a shirt, instead of just a little tape on your breasts... I've actually noticed that most decent music has been coming from artists that are fairly clothed most of the time.  Mozart wore clothes and he coincidentally wrote musical masterpieces and became extremely popular.  You see, unlike Imogen Heap and others that have talent, but not a lot of popularity, she has the popularity.  She just doesn't have a lot of talent.  So she could potentially further increase her fan base, by actually making good music and wearing clothing.
So what would happen to her popularity?  Would it go up or down?  Who could say?  I'd listen to her.  I don't know.  If anyone is reading this, what do you think?  Was this a stupid theory?  I guess if they listened to her because of the bad songs and the stripping, why would they listen to something that isn't that?  I don't know.

I wonder what the word limit is.  Is it bottomless?  That would be cool.  I'd sit here and write until I die.  I'd have enough pages to build a house out of books made of my writings.  That would be fun.  Do people usually anonymously comment on these things?  Or are you supposed to promote your blog and get people you know to subscribe?  I'm new at this.  I don't know if anyone will read it.  I guess I'll just have to be patient.  Or....................
